Il a occupé des postes à responsabilité chez Conning Asset Management, Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Fortis Bank et Barclays, et a passé une période à enseigner aux professionnels de la finance les institutions financières non bancaires. Il est titulaire d'un BSc (Hons) de l'université de Bristol.
